Proprietors Nicky Goudberg and Tony Pridham fell in love with the maze and gardens...
...when they first visited in 2019. They bought the property 6 months later and did a crash course in hedging!
Set up in 2003 by the original owners Dean and Tracey Shipley to realise their dream of owning a maze, the property was once a bare paddock. Over the years the Shipleys planted hedges, grew topiaries and raised their kids here.
Nicky and Tony, also avid gardeners, are continuing their legacy…. further developing these beautiful gardens to provide a relaxing place for locals and visitors to visit and enjoy.
Exciting changes to come...
The existing café area will be extended during 2020 to accommodate some of Tony’s artwork while providing more café seating. We are also adding a purpose built studio/gallery where you can watch Tony at work at his easel. Tony is a world renowned wildlife artist, having exhibited globally and is represented in many Australian and overseas collections. The café and studio/gallery will provide a place for him to display and sell his paintings plus show visitors how he creates his stunning works. As Sidney Nolan’s nephew, Tony knows his way around a paint-brush!
So come and meet us, enjoy the changing colours and moods of the garden, have a coffee while the kids hunt for gnomes and fairies, and let us be part of your next High Country adventure …..
